Hello, I was a PD at the BBC for a few years before leaving to set up my own company in Sep 08. I’m vegan and the people I work with are vegan or veggies. I just watched ‘Vegan Love’, well done for making it, I know how hard it is! I have to admit though I was sorry to see Alex didn’t meet a vegan after all? I wonder if ‘Vegan Love’ will give people the impression that it’s lonely being vegan, that their aren’t many vegans in London and that it’s hard to find like minded people (which isn’t true of course). I wonder why Alex thought it would be ‘easier’ to have a vegan girlfriend? Isn’t that isolating us? Isn’t it better to mix with non vegans and share our thoughts and reasons? Anyway, I do think it’s fantastic that you’re making fictional films with a vegan focus and I wish you all the luck and support in the world. My husband’s a DOP (www.benjamintodd) and he’d help you out for no charge in support of what you’re doing. We’re working on a short for the Fuji Film Competition at the moment, deadline 30th Jan and after we’ll make a feature, although it’ll take a year or so because we want it to be a biggy.
